Production of ‘…A Christmas Carol’

Christmas Exchange is teaming up with The Gladstone theatre this
December the 2nd and giving you an opportunity to preview The Gladstone’s
upcoming Christmas play: “The Farndale Avenue Housing Estate
Townwomen’s Guild Drama Society’s Production of A Christmas
Carol”.
Just pay what you can at the door, and you’ll have tickets
to a comedy that promises to be fun for the whole family, while at
the same time supporting Christmas Exchange’s efforts to help
those in need this holiday season. There are plenty of seats available,

Trees of Hope for $2.00 at their stores. Purchase a paper tree
for $2.00 and sign your name to have Giant Tiger display your Tree
of Hope donation on a wall at the store!
December 3 — Christmas Cheer Broadcast
on CFRA
Where: Eaton Court, Rideau Centre
When: December 3, 9:00 am to 7:00 pm
The Christmas Cheer Foundation will once again be presenting their annual Christmas
Cheer Broadcast on CFRA, in support of the Ottawa Food Bank, The Sens Foundation
and Christmas Exchange. Tune your radio to 580 CFRA all day to hear seasonal
music and friendly banter with celebrity guests and call in to make your donation.
December 5 — Running on Empties
At participating Ottawa Area Beer Stores – 9:30 am
till 5:00 pm
Volunteers will be stationed outside participating Ottawa Beer Stores to collect
donated empty beer, spirit and wine bottles from patrons. The money raised will
go directly towards providing food hampers and food vouchers to those in need
at Christmas.

What: Yuk Yuk's Ottawa has a new night for amateur
stand-up comedy. Raw Talent Tuesdays will be held at the 292 Elgin
St. location with a portion of the ticket price being donated to
Christmas Exchange. So come out for an enjoyable evening while
supporting Christmas Exchange in a fun way!
October 10th — The 9th Annual Ottawa’s
Biggest Bake Sale
Presented by TD Canada Trust
The 9th Annual Ottawa’s Biggest Bake Sale was a great success
again this year! Thanks to all the volunteers, notables such as
MP‘s David McGuinty and Paul Dewar, and the countless bakeries
and community groups, we raised $8400! The bake sale featured plenty
of pumpkin pies, fresh baked bread, chocolate chip muffins and
more! Congratulations to Lois Jordan who won a $500 gift certificate
courtesy of Billings Bridge Shopping Centre.
And a great big thank you goes out to our sponsors: TD Canada

and Sharing Charity Auction

A big thank you to all
who supported the Second Annual Caring and Sharing Charity Auction
this year! It was a HUGE success raising $55,000!
The event ran smoothly thanks to our many volunteers and featured
a tasty dinner, an energetic live auction (awarding prizes such
as a trip to Hollywood to tour the set of The Young and the Restless),
and a chance to socialize with some important celebrities such
as Senator Mike Duffy, who was Honourary Chair, Dave Smith who
was auctioneer, Max Keeping from CTV and Adrian Harewood from CBC.

July 8 — The 4th Annual Christmas
in July
Fallowfield Transit Station
6:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
We would like to extend
our sincere thank you to all those who attended the 4th Annual
Christmas in July on July 8th at the Fallowfield Transit Station.
The breakfast BBQ event was once again a success raising $2,700
for the Christmas Exchange Food Assistance Program to help individuals
and families receive a decent meal around the December holiday
season.
We would also like to

Steve Desroches and Alain Mercier, General Manager of OC Transpo
