Baking a Difference for Ottawa Families
7th Annual Ottawa’s
Biggest Bake Sale In support of the Christmas Exchange and other community
groups

Local bakeries and community groups throughout the area are baking up a
storm to raise money for families in need at Christmas. All of the delicious
goodies will be available for you to purchase at the 7th Annual Ottawa’s
Biggest Bake Sale presented by TD Canada Trust, Saturday October 6th, 2007
at the Fourth Avenue Baptist Church in the Glebe.
“We are extremely
proud to sponsor Ottawa’s Biggest Bake Sale again this year.” said
Cathy Jowesy, Manager of Community Relations & Tactical Marketing of TD
Canada Trust. “It is a fantastic fundraising event which brings our
community together in support of a very worthwhile cause.”

Anchor A-Channel News at 6 and the 2007 Christmas Exchange Campaign
Chair, will be on hand at 9:30 a.m. to kick things off and help sell the baked
goods. She will be joined throughout the morning by several other area
VIP’s
including Max Keeping and Corey Ginther of CTV Ottawa, Former Mayor of
Ottawa Jacquelin Holzman, Councillors Maria McRae and Shad Qadri, M.P.P.
Candidate for Ottawa-Centre Trina Morissette, Ottawa Citizen Food Columnist
Gay Cook and many others.
Let someone else do your Thanksgiving baking for
you and enjoy a Bridgehead coffee while you shop. Admission to the Bake
Sale is free, but donations of non-perishable food items for The Ottawa
Food Bank will be gratefully accepted.
Christmas Exchange provides food assistance
to those in need during the December holiday season. In 2006, the Exchange
assisted 22,900 people in 8,380 households, including 10,502 children and
1,804 seniors.
